The Scoliosis Therapy Center is a state-of-the-art center for the effective non-surgical treatment of scoliosis. We have dedicated our work to the most advanced treatment modality known as the Rigo-Chêneau brace system.
Based on the breakthrough work of Dr. Cheneau and Dr. Rigo, today’s WCR (Wood-Cheneau Rigo) brace represents the most advanced therapeutic orthotic equipment for the effective restoration of normal posture. Since each individual’s curvature, pressure points, and breathing points are unique, our highly trained orthotists work with each patient in designing the exact device to address their specific needs. Throughout the corrective process, they work personally with patients providing regular monitoring of progress, follow-up, and necessary adjustments.
After in depth evaluation and analysis by our clinical director; all retrieved clinical information is then forwarded for review to an additional team of world-renowned experts in scoliosis intervention that review all clinical photos, patient history, 3D scan, and X-rays.
After a thorough analysis of all clinical information a collaborative decision is made to determine the most optimal and precise approach for every individual patient.
All WCR brace fabrications are done by Raul Ferrera in Spain who practices as both a Schroth therapist and Orthotist renowned for his expertise in scoliosis brace intervention & modifications. Additionally, Raul has a current and continuous working relationship with Dr. Rigo one of the most renowned authorities of scoliosis diagnosis & treatment.
After a patient is fit with the brace and an in-brace x-ray is performed, clinical photos and the X- ray are sent back to our team for additional review to determine if any further brace optimization can be done to improve the outcome for the patient. Due to the complexity of the WCR brace system that are simultaneous with the level and standards of quality and control policies, occasionally our team may determine the necessity for an entire new brace system to be remade although the patient hasn’t had the the opportunity attempt to utilize the brace even for intervention even once!
Glenn’s practice is exclusive to scoliosis and orthotic intervention for Spinal Conditions. Previously owner of O&P facility in NYC, currently working with Scoliosis Therapy Centers providing Scoliosis treatment to patients all over the Eastern US. Glenn is a Past President of the IAOP and has lectured at multiple educational events.
After many years of experience in the fields of sports medicine and fitness, Mitchell was inspired by a patient encounter with an amputee to advance his career to the industry of prosthetics and orthotics. He focuses on the highly specialized field of spinal orthoses for scoliosis patients.

The Scoliosis Therapy Centers in Teaneck, NJ serves all of Central and Northern, New Jersey. Many of STC patients come from New York City, as our facility is located right over the George Washington bridge.

The Schroth Method is a nonsurgical physical therapy approach to scoliosis treatment, using exercises that simultaneously rotate, elongate and stabilize the spine in a three-dimensional plane. The exercises are tailored to each patient’s spine curvature, gradually returning the spine to a healthy shape and position through breathing techniques, muscle synergy, stretching, posture and education.
